Parramatta means ‘place of the eels’ in the local Burramattagal language, and is reflected in this design. The eels (curves) moves freely in the deep blue Parramatta river, meeting at a point where fresh and salt water has been in exchange for 40,000 years. The black coloured blocks signifies the ripples which visually complete and compliment the eels, and continue the tradition of connect and exchange into the prosperous future of Western Sydney. Central to this concept is the coming together of diverse people to represent the workplace that is PSQ. This modern yet playful design also evokes movement – reflecting on the idea of the many different configurations of PSQ to accommodate our new hybrid working needs.
